I recently became aware of The Paternity Act through the website www.loveofmylife.org. I respect that the law was initially created for the protection of women's rights and preserve the union of marriage. However, this law has been abused to use as legal protection, violating rights of the biological father from taking part in his child's life. What about when The Paternity Act interferes with the father's right to pursue paternity of his own child? I am disappointed that protection of equal rights for women and men are not demonstrated by enforcement of this Act. I desire that The Paternity Act be reviewed and edited for reasons of constitutional equality for women and men. A man should have the right to know if he is the father of a child that is conceived unto his partner.
